1. Who we are

IBANEX is operated by Appsyra, the data controller. Contact: privacy@ibanex.app.

2. The IBAN you check

An IBAN is personal and financial data, so we treat it with care. We do NOT store the IBAN in clear text. When you run a paid check we keep a one-way hash of it (SHA-256 with a secret pepper) plus a masked version (country + first 4 + last 4 digits) so you can recognise your own checks in your history. The full IBAN only lives in memory for the moment of the check.

3. What else we process

An anonymous device identifier, used only to keep track of your check balance. It is not linked to your name, email or any real-world identity, and we do not ask you to register.

Your purchases, handled by Apple, to grant the checks you buy.

To identify the issuing bank we may query a third-party banking-data provider, sending only the parts of the IBAN needed to look up the bank.

4. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not know, and do not try to find out, who an account belongs to.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification or erasure of your data, among other rights. Because we hold no identity data, we may need the anonymous identifier from your device to locate your records. Write to privacy@ibanex.app.
